Safety & Security Supervisor

• Implementation, maintenance and control of the SHE and Security functions and CCTV systems.
• Supporting (and supervise where required) the site Safety Officer, Firemen and cleaner in their functions.
• Monitor and enforce compliance to all SHE policies, procedures, standards and legislative aspects for employees and contractors.
• Manage contractors, SHE related projects and the required documentation.
• Coordinate all SHE external training.
• Present internal induction and safety training to all employees and contractors.
• Conducts periodic environmental, health and safety audits and inspections;
• Report and assist with incident investigations and implementation of corrective actions as required.
• Analyze and evaluates hazardous conditions, recommend controls and assist in HIRA formulation.
• Assists with the formulation of standard operating procedures / safe work procedures.
• Performs and assist with job observations and competency evaluations.
• Collect and maintain data essential for running an effective SHE programme – record keeping;
• Compile weekly/monthly SHE reports
• Implementation and maintenance of the SHE department’s BRC requirements and standards
• Implementation and maintenance of the SHE department’s Quality Management Systems
ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES
• Any Ad-Hoc duties as requested by management
KEY JOB REQUIREMENTS
• Excellent Occupational Health and Safety Act knowledge
• Excellent Security & CCTV system knowledge
• Excellent English and Afrikaans verbal and written skills.
• Eye for detail.
• Good grasp of Microsoft Office (especially Word & Excel)
